Could you make a difference to the young people of Croydon?

Are you approachable and have excellent communication skills?

If so, we would love to hear from you…

In response to the challenges of appointing outstanding staff, the Croydon Headteachers Association (CHTA) and Octavo Partnership have been working closely on initiatives to raise Croydon’s profile as the destination of choice.

Croydon is London’s largest borough by population and has nearly 150 schools and colleges to serve the community.  The pupil population has been growing year on year and it follows that schools have been recruiting to jobs associated with this growth – from teachers and teaching assistants to caretakers and office staff.  To give applicants direct access to school jobs in the borough, all in one place and without the ‘middle men’, the Headteachers of Croydon have joined together to run their own recruitment website: www.croydoneducationjobs.org.  If you want to teach in Croydon or work in a Croydon school this is the place to be! Visit the website today to register. There are hundreds of jobs available each year so sign up to be kept up to date via e-mail alerts.

In addition to the website, the CHTA and Octavo run an annual (Croydon schools) Teacher Recruitment Fair, which will be held in the New Year.  On Saturday 3 February 2018, participating schools and colleges will gather at Croydon Park Hotel to meet potential employees to discuss prospective positions and opportunities, not just within their organisations, but the borough as a whole.  Training colleges and union representatives will also be in attendance.  Our experts will be on hand to offer advice and tips on applying for your first teaching job, returning or even re-training as a teacher.  Existing teachers can speak to staff about progressing their own leadership careers and you’ll be able to hear first-hand the benefits of teaching in Croydon.
