Croydon Headteachers’ Association has appointed a new President. Mr Andy Crofts, Executive Principal of The Quest Academy and Quest Primary School has taken over the helm, effective Autumn 2022. Mr Crofts said, “As President I’m looking forward to working on behalf of all Headteachers and Principals in Croydon to promote their work and represent their interests as we navigate challenging areas such as funding and our continued response to the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.”

Mr Crofts’ remit will be to uphold the four aims of CHTA, as set out in the Constitution, namely:-

a) To advance the interests of education by co-operative action;
b) To provide opportunities for the consideration by Headteachers of various matters connected with schools and their organisation;
c) To lay the considered opinion of the members before the Local Education Authority;
d) To encourage social interaction and peer support amongst members.
